My Belkin Nostromo n52 still does sterling service as it provides these keys downs on both Mac and Linux:

so, very useful for repetitive "guff".

AND, of course, inwith the IDE and / or standalones one can do some remapping for games and so forth.

BUT, my Belkin Nostromo n50:

seems NBG as OXT / the-IDE-we-know-and-love don't seem to pick up any USB signals from it at all.

[I know the thing works as I have used it with a driver on MacOS 10.4]

Any pointers, hints, ideas as to whether there is a way to get some joy out of it would be gratefully received.

This is an ongoing problem with OXT as a programmer has no knowledge as to what USB devices
an end-user may have plugged into their computer:

AND a programmer should NOT have to rely on the end-user having installed drivers, but should be able to have one's standalone
leverage input from any USB device . . . no more 'Plug & Pray'.
