Hyperintelligence

Post by richmond62 »

I had never heard of this until I came across it, tangentially (naturally: Thank you, thank you, thank you, Bill Atkinson, for dropping acid - as I certainly would not risk that):

Oh, and Thank you, Edward De Bono for making it possible that my father had copy of you "silly, little game" on his desk when I was about 9 years old.

Having done probably more than my fair share in my youth (mostly shrooms), I'm kind of skeptical of Bill's claim that it was the acid that helped him come up with the idea. I think it was probably the visits to Xerox PARC, and seeing NoteCard, HyperNeWS, SmallTalk80, etc. that had a lot more to do with it.

This should probably be in the Fun and Games sub-forum.

Need to do some cleaning up of all of this forum site soon.

So am I (even without any real narcotic experience), but it is more entertaining than "the visits to Xerox PARC".

I don't think 'Hyperintelligence' should be in 'fun and games' as it seems to be software.

I have never seen the word 'surface' used as a verb in this sense (and, to be honest, I am not sure what it means):

And I hope I understand 'Hyper card' as an xTalk-like card.

I have no idea what that paragraph is supposed to mean.

Still not a clue, but doesn't seem to be anything to do with the HyperCard as I understood it?

(Failing to cut through the bulls*!t - just seems like some glorified web instance of PowerPoint or Google slides).

I hate this kind of corporate-speak with a passion, sorry.
