HC Stacks, could be fun...

Post by tperry2x »

If anyone is interested, I can post this as a downloadable archive. Could cause all manner of 'fun and games' :D

(it's a 587 MB img file when uncompressed)

I miss having a huge collection of XCMDs / XFCNs that I can dip into in LCC/OXT Lite.
I'd love to see a library like this available again. [*wish list*]
The userguides do contain a whole load of information I've added on creating new ones. I may see if any will port across (but I doubt it).

I've got tons of HyperCard stacks, a collection going back to the late 1980s from the AOL HyperCard forums.

I actually just dug one of them out of my disc archives because I couldn't find it on the web anywhere (not in Archive.org's huge collection or even archives like UMICH). It's an obscure XCMD (External) that creates a navigable '3D' rooms/hallway display based on ASCII text 'maze' ( think 1-bit line drawing of the original Wolfenstein walls ). its called 'Basic3d view'. I'd like to build something similar in OXT.

Any chance you could separate it into a few smaller archives, maybe 100 meg or so tops and post those?

I'll try, the issue I have is one of bandwidth and lack of storage (but mainly bandwidth)

Dan, if you're looking for stack collections it seems the mother of all archives is still available, UMich:
