Do you mean not needed, as in 'nah not doing that' or that OXT has made forward progress where it was stuck? If we made progress, please point me to the relevant post(s) as I missed this entirely.

Sorry, page reflow may be different here. (I won't go into why as it's boring), I was struggling to see a question at the top of a specific page.
Do you mean:

That is a very valid question. Probably vanished forevermore in the sands of time if nobody has backed them up.

We shall see if something happens on the 'stuck' prebuilts / script issue front. I just meant that I intend to keep pushing forward on Open-Source xTalk one way or another until I'm returned to the soil... because 'why not'? What else am I going to do, become a senior citizen rockstar? And also meant that I didn't expect any help on dealing with the missing 'pre-built binaries' and i probably wasn't gong to ask for any.

Ah SGI Irix!!! Back in the 90s I worked at a shop that had a bunch of those SGI Indigos and Octane machines, along with a bunch of Macs. I still occasionally contemplate buying one of those sleek looking machines just for the cool case, I would sell the mother board and then replace its guts with a modern motherboard. Those SGI rigs still go for hundreds of dollars on eBay last time I check.

Ah SGI Irix!!! Back in the 90s I worked at a shop that had a bunch of those SGI Indigos and Octane machines, along with a bunch of Macs. I still occasionally contemplate buying one of those sleek looking machines just for the cool case, I would sell the mother board and then replace its guts with a modern motherboard. Those SGI rigs still go for hundreds of dollars on eBay last time I check.

I had a crack at one of these at a local university's "recycling" place, in the 90s. (It used to be "walk in and browse," I would skip lunches to spend time there. The esoteric stuff was always running. Now it's all... corporatized and eww, y'know?) It was about the same price as today, but I nearly pulled the trigger on it and figured the cost out later, if you know what I mean.

Ditto with a NeXTCube. Not joking.

I ended up with one of those Gateway Presentation CRTs that was like huge; nobody wanted it because it "didn't have TV ports on it." Meanwhile, I WANTED IT because of that.

Awe yeah, a NeXTCube with modern guts, running helloSystem BSD + the GNUStep stuff, that would be rad!
In reality there's no way I'd hack-saw one those rigs specially not at current collector prices (in the thousands), maybe if I found a banged up one at a thrift store or something.
I'd probably try to restore it though. That NeXT cube was pretty freakin powerful hardware way ahead of it's time, 16 SIMM Slots could go up to a GIG of Ram (which was huge amount back then), it wasn't until the late 90s that I got a hold of a machine that I could upgrade to full gig of ram (PowerMac 9600 had 12 DIMM slots).

Now you've got me wondering, will a Power Mac 8600 take a 9600 mobo, and how big a pain is it? I have an 8600/200 (non-MP) that I have used with three different children as their first computer, then had returned to me... it didn't matter what they did to the thing, it just wouldn't flipping die!
