I don't think I'd have called anything a 'Widget', since I believe that was always meant to be an ambiguous term like 'thing', and the fact that the term has been used for so many other things like those macOS/iOS doodads. but extension object modules were already called 'Widgets' when we got it.
It would be a nice tribute to call them Frinaldis (the other suggestions were hilarious though).
