Trying to track down Livecode Community 9.6.1
Because it seems like 9.6.1 would still build 32-bit Mac Standalones, whereas anything past that seems not to.

So far, thanks to the help of Richmond and Mic, we have links for:

Mac:
https://archive.org/download/live-code- ... _1-Mac.dmg

Windows:
https://web.archive.org/web/20201111235 ... x86_64.exe

Linux:
Success, found this on one of my backup drives where I still have a copy... looking for somewhere large enough online to upload it to...

I am about to try to upload those to the Archive as who knows how long that site will be available.

https://archive.org/details/live-code-c ... nux_202309 64-bit

https://archive.org/details/live-code-c ... -6-1-linux 32-bit

Not very pretty, I'm afraid, as not part of the rest . . .

Not 9.6.1 especially.
I was having a mooch around, to see if there were such things as 'players' available for LCC?

Then, I noticed that https://community.livecode.com/9_6_1/ appears to be inaccessible.

I have a feeling that LiveCode have now blocked access to their Open Source versions: so the only way to get hold of them is from the internet archive.

Mac 961: https://archive.org/download/live-code- ... _1-Mac.dmg

Win 32-bit 961: https://archive.org/download/live-code- ... ws-x86.exe

Win 64-bit 961: https://archive.org/download/live-code- ... x86_64.exe

and, as I'm sure you recall: I uploaded the Linux installers to the archive as for some funny reason they had got missed out.

I suppose we should have expected that.
Do you know if there ever were such things as 'players' for LCC?
I'm assuming probably not.

Do you mean by a 'player' something that will run the stack without being able to edit it?

Many long years ago (erm, possibly Mac PPC) there was a 'Runtime Revolution Player') but that is about as far as you will get.

Yes, if you like - as a (relatively) lightweight & minimal way for users to open demo stacks (without having to install full-versions of OXT/OXT lite), in read-only mode.
