Thank your deity of choice, or the skies above that I went HyperCard instead. Then again I was in a Mac lab with a Mac devotee as my favorite instructor.

I discovered HyperCard when I went to the USA in 1993.

And that was after FORTRAN, BASIC & PASCAL, and before Director, Toolbook and MetaCard.
