ScummVM has a Lingo interpreter and bytecode support

Post by OpenXTalkPaul »

I just today realized that ScummVM ( the point-n-click type-game engine 'emulator' (interpreter & VM actually) engine, which has been in development since the 1990s and ported to run virtually any device, has been adding support for Macromedia Director Shockwave / Flash since 2016 builds which means it now can interpret the OOP animation-centric xTalk language developed John Henry Thompson ( ... -thompson/) called Lingo. This was the original scripting language used with Macromind (and much later Adobe) Director, before it got more javascript-like with ActionScript (2+). ... piler.html

Here are some Director demos to try out with ScummVM: ... the-lingo/
