My old guru Piaget stated that children really found it extremely difficult to cope with abstract ideas before they were about 11-12.
Err, actually he was a cynical sort of bastard who reckoned the upper limit was more like 16. And, looking at some of those
teenagers who hang around in maalls with prognathous jaws, and their knuckles dragging on the ground . . .

One of the marvellous things about LC/OXT is that with Drag-and-Drop one can simulate the manipulation of physical objects in a way that gives each child in a classroom of however many a kits to play with which would otherwise be prohibitively expensive.

This is a modified version of something I posted 'over there', but as 'over there' they have demonstrated that, beyond some lip-service stuff, they don't give a !@#$%^&** about using 'the thing' to develop educational tools . . .
