Cowabunga: just decompressed on MacOS 14 (Soporific): and the thing opened straight away.
Kudos!
Before I did that I, possibly rather foolishly, messed around with the certificate:
- -
I don't know what on earth made me do that as it also did "nuffin" with 0.97 on MacOS 12 (Monstery).

Well, the palettisation you previously implemented seems to have vanished again.Continued work on the 'All Guides' stack

Indeed you can.You can now increase / decrease text size of a selected object with keyboard shortcuts (credit to Paul for this idea)
Very nice indeed with the ability to do that with a selected section of text in a field:

That's super: but, like Oliver twist, I want so more:You can also change left/right text alignment of selected objects with keyboard shortcuts too
What about a keyboard short cut to centre text?

Just to check I've not had a senior moment on the mac build, can you open the guides stack from either the toolbar or the help menu, and pop open a message box.richmond62 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 11:46 amWell, the palettisation you previously implemented seems to have vanished again.Continued work on the 'All Guides' stack
Please run: In your new script editor window that pops up, can you confirm line 25 looks like this: If not, please see if this fixes it: If I've missed that out on line 25, then I'll have somehow not copied this over on the mac version.

Re: Comments on 0.98
However: having installed OXT Lite 0.98 Mac menus screw up randomly and/or don't work, both with 0.98 and 0.96.
I have had to FORCE QUIT both IDEs at least twice/

What shortcut would you like?

No, I am afraid I cannot, as both the menubar and the 'User guides' icon are not responding at all now.can you open the guides stack from either the toolbar or the help menu

That's most odd. I've not found that problem (and I've tested on 2 macs before uploading it).richmond62 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 12:02 pmNo, I am afraid I cannot, as both the menubar and the 'User guides' icon are not responding at all now.can you open the guides stack from either the toolbar or the help menu

Do you have anything else running that could be causing issues?richmond62 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 12:00 pm However: having installed OXT Lite 0.98 Mac menus screw up randomly and/or don't work, both with 0.98 and 0.96.

Have you tried a restart in case it's a temporary issue?
Unfortunately I can't replicate your issue at this end, despite now trying it on 3 different macs.
Seems to be working fine from what I can tell. Do you have another mac you can test this on?
edit:
Just to be sure, this is the 4th mac I have access to: (then I'm all out of macs to test this on). (the time is off as this machine does not connect to the internet - because security, and the CMOS battery has died)

I'm not sure why you did that either.
But, it should not be capable of locking up the IDE or your menus.

Re: Comments on 0.98
I'll try a restart here (Work = MacOS 14), and I'll try to find time for an install at home (= MacOS 12) when I get home (about 7pm your time).
No other apps running at all.
No joy, I am afraid: the 0.96 IDE does not respond properly, nor does 0.98.
LC 963 does respond.
If I click on a menu bar item ALL I get is a sort of feeble highlighting, and NO drop-down menu:

Re: Comments on 0.98
I have just deleted 0.96 and 0.98 completely from my MacOS 14 machine.
I am now going to try a new 0.98 install and see what happens . . .
On starting the IDE it seems, initially, to work just fine:
- -
A bit busy at the moment (building a new computer desk for my school), so will hope that stays the way it is at the moment: mind you, the fact that there was that initial wonkiness must mean something.

Re: Comments on 0.98
That is weird. Never seen that happen before.
The only thing I can think of is that it's something Sonoma doesn't like in that revMenubar stack.
I'll see if I can dig out an older copy of the revmenubar stack and ask you to try swapping that back to an older version on sonoma.
(no rush if you are at work)
Edit: just seen your last post.
That's great it now works. I wonder what that was all about?
I know you said you do keep various duplicate copies of OXT on the same mac, but I would not have thought this could cause problems?

That's a nice touch.
A bit of colour and nature is always good.
I think we had some AcePCs here at one stage (the T9 ones) - they once used them as streaming boxes with Android on if I recall correctly.

Re: Comments on 0.98 Win10x64
Not much to report, boss. Preliminary check-in.
No obvious way to uninstall the previous version, so...
run-as-admin:
setting default prefs
171 File(s) copied
installing OpenXTalk Lite...
3123 File(s) copied
creating desktop shortcut
1 file(s) copied.
Successfully processed 1 files; Failed processing 0 files
Successfully processed 1 files; Failed processing 0 files
Successfully processed 18 files; Failed processing 0 files
Done.
Press any key to continue . . .
Ran a stack. It shows up in "Windows White," sorta. Of course I'm in Dark Mode, I may need to knock that off; the editor pointer to the right (in the IDE palette) has a purple background.
I load up my stack from the previous version, which sports a mighty "Quit" script on mouseUp and that's all. It quits.
Will be doing some more digging and attempts at OS X later on.

I should clarify, the installer overwrites the previous versionoverclockedmind wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 8:13 pm No obvious way to uninstall the previous version, so...
Reading that, the installer ran without issues.overclockedmind wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 8:13 pm run-as-admin:

Yes, I dropped dark mode a while ago as it just wasn't working and needs fixing in the engine.overclockedmind wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 8:13 pm Ran a stack. It shows up in "Windows White," sorta. Of course I'm in Dark Mode, I may need to knock that off;

So is that the expected behaviour for your stack, or do you mean it shouldn't quit?overclockedmind wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 8:13 pm I load up my stack from the previous version, which sports a mighty "Quit" script on mouseUp and that's all. It quits.
Thank you - the more the merrier as far as MacOS is concerned, as Richmond has had some errors earlier above. I can't reproduce his errors though.overclockedmind wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 8:13 pm Will be doing some more digging and attempts at OS X later on.

That's the expected behavior for that stack. I know, I'm odd like that. I can see how it could have been a "report," my bad.
