What price OXT?

Post by richmond62 »

I hope that sooner rather than later someone (Paul?) can set up a system for donations, and, if OXT attracts any semi-decent donations, that money can be put to good use (erm: how about hiring someone to write a MacOS Silicon engine?).

It is also, when feeling funny in one's wallet to reflect on the alternative:

"Just for fun", or at least to prove that what is bred in the bone will out in the blood, and "those people" have reverted to form, one should look at this from 2003:

And, if anyone has any doubts that the "Open Source intiative" was based on anything but the 'funnel' theory of economics . . .

The RevMedia version, from an economic sense, made more sense: you want to make applications rather than stacks, you pay.

Completely unclear what the difference between a "Teacher edition" and an "Educational edition" is, except, possibly on the purchaser's ability to tell lies. 8-)

Ah:
Students and K-12 Teachers can purchase the Student / Teacher Edition, which is a highly discounted version of the Small Business Edition. However it does not allow for commercial distribution of any software created. It is also available to anyone under the age of 18. It is not available for university lecturers who must purchase the Professional Educational Edition.
So, even if I am a University lecturer (and how the seller is going to check that begs the question) I am going to say I am a teacher, especialyy if I cannot got my institution to pony up the moolah.

And, even after charging you a lot they want more for the missing manual:

Which isn't even a manual (I know, I was STUPID enough to buy one in 2002), only a print-out of the in-built dictionary.

Presumably steering by mantra as his hands are nowhere near the handlebars: and, guess what we call someone steering by mantra? Either a 'complete twat', or 'an accident waiting to happen.'

This image was generated by A.I. (Artificial Insanity), no incarnations of Vishnu were harmed in any way by this process (pity, really).

I mean: that is MEANT to be a flute, but the thick robot makes it into a VAPE . . . LOL.

No pedals either . . .
